Winnie & Walter: Premiere of Stampets: Penguin + Stampets: The Gift + Stampets: Turkey

Wow! This has been an awesome Premiere week with Winnie & Walter, hasn't it? Today we have three stamp sets to show off! They are super fun!

Blessings

I used the Stampets: Turkey set for this card. The turkey is SUPER cute, but I wanted to showcase one of the awesome little stamps, so I choose this super cute pie. I combined it with one of the new cutaways for a fun Thanksgiving card!

With Love North Pole tag

I used the Stampets: Penguin and the Stampets: The Gift sets together to create the little mini scene on this tag. It's a fun little holiday tag, I think.

Be sure to head over to the Winnie & Walter blog for LOTS of inspiration AND a chance to win these great sets! You won't want to miss out on the cuteness you will see! These sets have LOTS of images, so there will be some variety for SURE! Also, the products go live tonight around 8pm Eastern, so keep an eye on the Winnie and Walter store to fulfill that wish list!

Happy Halloween!!!!

Winnie & Walter: Premiere of Happy Christmas + The Big, the Bold and the Merry + Cutaways

Welcome to Day 3 of the Winnie & Walter Premiere! I am excited to be showing of two awesome new stamp sets and CUTAWAYS!!! Yes, that's right, folks, Winnie & Walter now has steel cut dies. I may have screamed a little when I found out. You are welcome to do the same. For reals, though. Go ahead...I'll wait.

Now THAT was a great happy dance. Well done, my friend. And now I am excited to share a couple of cards I created using these fabulous new stamps and dies!

Peace & Joy

For this card I went with a classic color scheme and kept the design simple. I love how the negative die cuts look on this one! I popped up the white panel to add dimension and adhered the red ampersand directly to the panel. I am so in love with these dies it is not even funny. For reals, though.

Peace & Joy (detail)

For my second card today I combined The Big The Bold, and The Merry with Happy Christmas. I love how perfectly this image worked with the end of the Christmas stamp!

Happy Xmas

I used the same basic color scheme for this card (It is my favorite for Christmas, after all. LOL!), only this time I added a touch of gold by stamping some areas in gold Delicata ink and adding a few sequins. SHINY!

Merry Xmas (detail)

Be sure to head on over to the Winnie & Walter blog for a TON of inspiration and for your chance to win these AMAZING stamps and dies. For REALS...if you enter no other giveaways this week, please just enter this one. You want them. Trust me on this. No... but really... do it. K. Glad we had this talk.

Have a Happy!!!

I super duper LOVE Spectrum Noir markers and colored pencils, so I was excited to have an excuse to pull them out and play!

Happy Thanksgiving

I created a pretty Thankgiving card using the Simon Says Stamp Feast of Thanksgiving stamp set. I love this stamp set so much! I used a bit of masking magic to layer my elements before coloring them and I really like how it all came together.

Happy Thanksgiving (detail)

Winnie & Walter: Premiere of Mini Scenery: Into the Woods + Scenery: Big Bang Flurries + Winter Woodland

Thank you all for joining me on day 1 of the Winnie and Walter release! Today we have some more great stamp sets to share with you! I super love today's sets! I really do! For my first card I used both the Mini Scenery: Into the Woods stamp and the Big Bang Flurries WITH a sentiment from Winter Wonderland. WHOA! Three sets in one card. Yup. Totally did that.

Just For You Woodland

I stamped the background in black VersaFine ink and then stamped some snowflakes over it with VersaMark. I heat embossed the entire thing using a sparkle embossing powder from Stampendous. I just love how shiny and sparkly it is! I used Distress inks, brushed across the card, to get the look of real birch trees. Finally, I added a Bossy Joscie flair piece as embellishment on the card. YAY!

Just for You Holiday (detail)

You can really see the shine in this shot. It looks so pretty in person! I promise!

Season's Greetings

For my second card today, I wanted to use that gorgeous and HUGE tree stamp, but I also wanted to do something less traditional, so I opted to stamp the image in black ink and I used red stars to decorate the tree. The snowflakes from Big Bang Flurries made a great background for this one!

Be sure to head on over to the Winnie & Walter blog for more inspiration and to enter to WIN!!!

Have a Happy!

Winnie & Walter Premier: Eat Drink Gingerbread Man + Mini Scenery: The Peppermint Zone + Creative Screenings

It's release time with Winnie & Walter and it is a good one, folks! Today we are showing off THREE awesome new products! The Eat, Drink Gingerbread Man stamp set, the Mini Scenery: The Peppermint Zone (awesome!!!) stamp, and...wait for it... the ALL NEW Creative Screenings line! Yup, folks, we've got stencils. And they are awesome.

DSCN5665

For this card I used the Speech Bubbles Creative Screening stencil with the Peppermint Zone stamped over it. I then inked in the bubble for a more solid look so I could stamp and emboss that wicked cute sentiment over it. I stamped the 'milk' glass twice, masking one, then colored them to look like beer...happy beer. 'Cause, apparently beer is happy now.

DSCN5667

A bit of Wink of Stella makes it sparkle. I like sparkle. Lots.

Joy

In addition to the stencil portion, some of the Creative Screenings also have the fabulous positive screen, as well! I created this neat ornament by temporarily adhering the screen and then watercoloring around it. I die cut the oval (Spellbinders Pierced Ovals) and free hand cut the little silver thingy (yup...that's totally what they are called) from silver paper to create the ornament. SO MUCH FUN!

DSCN5698

Makes sure you RUN (don't walk... seriously... run...) over to the Winnie & Walter blog for more inspiration!!! Seriously. Lots. Go.

Have a Happy!!!

Why are you still HEEEERE? GO! NOW!

For reals, though.

We Want Candy!

Because Candy.

Really. I love the stuff. That being the case, Halloween is kind of like crazy wicked awesome in my mind. It's an entire holiday centered around CANDY! How could that possibly be bad? For reals, though. Thus, the sentiment expressed on this little project I created with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

We Want Candy

WHAT?! I know. Those ghosts are just too adorbs to even handle. They have BOWTIES, people! Well, they don't have to, the bowtie comes in the set, but why would you not add a bowtie when the opportunity presents? I mean, for reals, though?

Ghostie bag

The little ghostie on the treat bag is just peeking in... he obviously isn't dressed yet, as he is trying to snag that bowtie from the seal. Obviously.

K.... so... anyway.... I used the super cute Spooky stamp set for my shenanigans today. Be sure to head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog for LOTS of awesome inspiration! YAY!

Have a Happy!

A Dark and Stormy Night

Okay, so picture this... dark clouds overhead, it's Halloween night... and Paper Smooches Bitty Bungalows are EVERYWHERE! Bwahahahahaaaa!

Okay, you're right. Bitty Bungalows are adorable not scary, but I LOVE THEM! And I love Halloween. And I loved using them for this Halloween card. K? K. So there.

DSCN4156

I stamped and colored these adorable houses in all greys to play with the spooky Halloween neighborhood feel. I then die cut the clouds (which are actually the CAS-ual Fridays Bubble Labels) from wood veneer and inked them to make them look dark and stormy (and adorable, yes, we've covered that... LOL!).

DSCN4164

This was a fun card to create and I love that it doesn't even use Halloween stamps. And that bird... that bird SO makes me laugh for some reason. I have no idea why, but every time I see him sitting there on the house he just cracks me up, so... basically he wins.

It is going to be a very busy week on the blog this week! I hope you are ready and excited to stick around!

Have a Happy!

Winnie and Walter Leading Lady Take FOUR!

Wow! What an amazing month this has been! Thank you all so much for your support on my Winnie & Walter Leading Lady posts! I have absolutely LOVED reading your comments! Today is my final post and today we are going with a FULL dress rehearsal! Yup, complete costumes, MASKS and all! Tee-hee...I do so love these film analogies. Yes, today's cards all incorporate masking in some way.

Watercolor Birthday Wishes

Masking with heat embossing can allow you to create some gorgeous watercolor images. For this card, I cut a mask of the center rose and then stamped the two larger roses on each side. I then stamped the center one in place, covered the entire thing with embossing powder, and heat embossed. Normally it is easier to stamp first, cover your image with a mask, and then stamp the background images, but I have found when embossing it can be handy to wait so you don't add a mask over the ink you need to keep sticky.

I then watercolored (On regular cardstock! GASP! It's true folks...it isn't quite the same, but you CAN watercolor on regular cardstock if you work carefully. I promise.) the flowers and stamped and embossed the sentiment in gold. Because... gold.

Autumn

This card employs a similar technique, but it allows the embossed images to be the star of the show! I just love these leaves from A Tree for All Seasons! The line detail in them is just fabulously graphic without being overpowering. They make me happy. Combining them in clusters, well, now that just makes me EXTRA happy!

Happy Thoughts

Finally, masking is an awesome way to create a scene on a one layer card. I stamped the bushes first, masked them, then stamped the surrounding scene. I then lifted my masks, colored the shrubs with Spectrum Noir pens, and stamped the sentiment for this simple scene that has lots of dimension and remains super duper easy to mail! LOVE that! For reals, though. It's handy to actually be able to MAIL a card. Right? Right. Glad we had this talk.

So, my friends, there you have it! Our Full Dress rehearsal, complete with MASKS! I hope you have enjoyed my posts this month as much as I have enjoyed creating for them and writing them! Don't forget to leave a comment this one last time to enter to win a $30 Gift Certificate to Winnie & Walter. Guys, for reals... you want to win that gift certificate so you can BUY ALL OF THE THINGS!

And That's a Wrap!

From My Head TOMATOES!

It is raining. Not just a little. Actually, it's raining super tons of LOTS! It's a good 'ole Nor' Easter and I kinda wish I could cozy up with a good book all day, but, alas... BUT, the good news is that I have a super fun card to share with you today!

I LOVE this photo inspiration from the Runway Inspired Challenge! This is my first card inspired by it, but I PROMISE there will be another one. This one was inspired primarily by the colors, but I simply MUST create a card inspired by the bold, intriguing nature of this photo, as well, so watch for that. I said it out loud.... well, in type, anyway, so now I'm committed!

From My Head Tomatoes

Why, yes, I do love this stamp set! Actually, I love it from my head TOMATOES!!! HAHAHAHA! Oh, for the LOVE of all things punny!!!! For reals, you guys. Love it. I decided to keep the color scheme simple with the black and white and red. I didn't even want to add green to the stems, as it would take away from the graphic quality of the design, so I kept them white and I sorta love how that looks. I used a wide stripe stamp to add the line at the top of the card by stamping just on the edge to balance it out.

Stamps: WPlus9 Tomatoes, Simon Says Stamp Wide Stripe
Ink: My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Licorice, Hero Arts Pale Tomato
Cardstock: Simon Says Stamp Black, Crafter's Companion Ultra Smooth White
Tools: Fiskars Stamp Press, Honeybee Scissors

I used this adorable Lil' Hoot Set from Hero Arts along with a new background stamp coming out soon! Eeek! Love sneak peeks! I embossed my background using both gold and white powders to create a unique pattern and colored that pair of cuties with Spectrum Noir pens. A couple of googly eyes were a perfect finish!

Soy Happy For You!

Nope. Not a typo. Not even a little bit. Just a post title STUFFED to the BRIM with punny goodness! You know I'm a fan of a hilarious pun, right? If not, you have now officially been warned. Err.... I mean, informed, yeah.... that's it.

Soy Happy For You

ACK! So fun! I actually won this stamp set quite awhile ago and being that I'm pretty much the only person in the entire world that doesn't love sushi (I have tried, folks, I really have...I WANT to be a cool kid and like sushi, but it's just not my thing. I have failed at being a proper hipster, I am aware), SO...that made this set trickier for me to use for some reason. I know... that doesn't make much sense, but just go with it, K? K. Thanks. Glad you've got my back on this. AND THEN... we got invited to an engagement celebration. I don't often have opportunity to create engagement cards so I had to be a bit creative and I KNEW this couple would totally appreciate a good solid (and obviously hilarious) pun. I did it. And I love it. And it makes me happy.

Soy Happy (detail)

I colored the images with Spectrum Noir pens and die cut them. There is a cute piece of sushi INSIDE the card, along with a simple 'congratulations' from another Lawn Fawn stamp set, but, alas, I forgot to photograph it and I actually gave this card to someone, sooo.. ooopsies! For reals, though. It's cute on the inside. I promise.

I added just a bit of Liquid pearls as centers on the die cut pieces. This card was fairly simple and packs a lot of punch! The metal sheet really SHINES and I love that!

Winnie and Walter Leading Lady Take THREE!

Hello, friends, and welcome to TAKE 3 of my Winnie & Walter Leading Lady posts! I am actually super excited about today's feature! This week we are getting ACTIVE! Before you all run away, I promise not to make you go to the gym. Afterall, the word 'run' only comes into my vocabulary when I am 'running out for ice cream' or something along those lines. So, no. We aren't going to doing squats, planks, or the like, but we ARE going to make our CARDS active! Yup! Today's cards all have some interactive feature on them. The go from simple to more complicated, so there is a little something for everyone today!

Welcome Home

I started with the gorgeous This Awesome House stamp set. That dog. You guys. I. Love. That. Dog. I love the rest of the set, too, but the dog will always be my favorite. I colored the house, stamped the background...all pretty normal card-ish things, but then I used my knife to cut the doors so that they would open. I mounted the house on foam tape and....

Welcome Home (detail)

Eeeek! How much fun is THAT?! I used the chimney stamp to create the end of a table and sat the cat beside it right inside the door. It just makes me happy. This is such an easy way to add just a small interactive feature to your card! So fun!

Winter Wonderland Shaker

You HAD to know this was coming! I simply couldn't do a post about interactive cards without a fabulous shaker! I love them so much! For this one I used the Scenery: It's a Wonderful Pennant stamp set in conjunction with the The Big, The Bold, and Seasons set. I created a simple little scene with LOTS of glitter and sequins inside!

Winter Wonderland Shaker (detail)

And last, but CERTAINLY not least, I have this super extra fun interactive card for you...

Smile

Okay, I can here you now... "Ummm, Jingle, I know this Leading Lady stuff is a lot of pressure and all, but I'm pretty sure that is NOT an interactive card. Nope. I mean, it's cute and all, but it's just an ordinary CAS card."

WAIT for IT......

Smile (detail)

BOOM! That just happened. Yes, my friends, when you press gently on the shutter button on the camera, it lights up! I used a tiny (and I mean TINY) LED, some copper tape, and a watch battery to do some paper circuitry behind the popped up panel. It's all very thin and light weight, so it works great on a card!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Don't forget to comment on each of my Leading Lady posts throughout this month for your chance to win a $30 Gift Certificate to Winnie and Walter!

Have a Happy!
