Be Brave Bucket

Well, now there is a fun little title for ya! HA! So...here's the deal, just a quick post today. Honestly, I have that killer cold that's floating around, The Hubbums has had it for over a week and his is more borderline flu-ish and it simply will NOT go away! I'm hoping mine treats me nicer. HA! AND...Thatcher, the younger of our two labs, has a bit of a tummy bug, too, so she isn't feeling well, either. Basically, Maggie is the only healthy one in the house and apparently you can't do things like dishes and general holiday clean up if you don't have thumbs. At least, that's what she keeps telling me. HA!

BUT...I do have a fun little gift bucket to share with you today, so since I seem to be able to type at this point, I figured I'd show that to you! YAY!

Be Brave Gift Pail

I used some great woodgrain paper from the Crate Paper Peppermint Collection and stamped and embossed the Be Brave stamp from Unity's She Sprouted Wings stamp set. A bit of May Arts ribbon and some fabulous enamel dots from MME finished off the bucket for a great little gift container!

I hope you had an absolutely delightful Christmas and I know I'm looking forward to New Year's Eve, as that is also our anniversary! YAY!!! Have a happy Friday, folks!!!

Just a quick post today with a quick Christmas card. This was another that I created in multiples, but I switched the sentiment stamp out so there were three different varieties. It's a fun little design!

A Beachy Christmas with Gourmet Rubber Stamps

The Gourmet Rubber Stamps Design Team members have a wonderfully refreshing color challenge to share with you today!

Isn't that just gorgeous? Totally makes me want to head to the beach! I love the beach no matter what the weather! I guess that comes from being a New England girl! I did decide to create a holiday card using these beautiful tones...

From our Home to Yours

I used the beautiful shell and starfish from the Pack Your Bags set and pulled the sentiment from the Holiday Lane set. I love the beachy feel to this one!

From Our Home to Yours (detail)

I added some pretty tapes and some gorgeous tinsel twine from The Twinery to finish it off. I do hope you join us in being inspired by these colors and link up your creation on the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Facebook Page! We love to see what you do! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Christmas and Candy! They go together like...

...well, like Christmas and candy, dude. For reals. Similes aren't really needed for this one. Just sayin'.

So...because they go together so well, it seemed the perfect office co-worker gift for Christmas! I was EXTRA nice and pulled out my Echo Park Winter Wishes paper pack. (That's good stuff, folks...for people who won't even know. *sigh* LOL!) I combined that with some fun washi tapes and great stamps from Unity!

Wrapped Candy Bars

I also made some cards for folks at work, but I did these for my department. Pretty fun stuff! I love Christmas and I love giving people little pieces of happy! YAY!

Santa in White

Santa in White. That's what I'm calling this one. It sounds all 'art gallery' title-ish, so I'm totally going with it. Just sayin'. Actually, I just really love the way this gorgeous Stampendous! Forest Santa image looks embossed in white on the kraft background. HA!

Santa

I actually began this card by creating a mask of the Forest Santa on scrap paper and then I stamped the First Christmas stamp, with the mask in place, directly onto my kraft card base with Tsukineko's Momento Desert Sand ink. I LOVE the desert sand on the Neenah desert storm paper! The amazing Taylor did it once and I was hooked for life!

Santa (detail)

I embossed the Forest Santa with White Embossing powder by Stampendous! (Snow, if you are buying it under the Recollections label - same stuff - different name.) I love that stuff. I use it SO MUCH!!!!

I topped the card with just a bit of May Arts silk 1/8" ribbon. I love the luxury of the silk ribbons from May Arts! SO GORGEOUS!!!

AND...it just so happens that the Stampendous! Challenge this month is for CAS Christmas cards! Well...I bet several of you could come up with some GREAT submissions for THAT! Here's the linky if you've been inspired and would like to play along!

Simon Says MERRY CHRISTMAS!

YAY!!! It's Christamstime over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog this week! We have all used some super fun Simon Says Exclusives to create Christmas cards to share with you!

I ended up creating this card in bulk, actually, because I just loved this design! I did nearly twenty of them. I am also linking this up to the CASology Challenge this week - Star!

Absolutely Let's Be Merry

I die cut the Absolutely from shiny silver paper and mounted it with foam tape. I stamped and embossed the silver stars and stamped the sentiment directly onto the silver paper. The silver string was the perfect finishing touch!

Absolutely Be Merry (detail)

And, of course, one lucky challenge participant will win a $50 Gift Voucher to Simon Says Stamp!

So now it's your turn to play along! Happy Crafting and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
You have until Wed 26th Dec 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in.

Ornaments Make GREAT Gift Toppers! {May Arts Ribbonista Blog Hop}

Welcome to Just Jingle!  If you are visiting from the May Arts Ribbonista Blog hop, I am so glad you are here!  If you are a regular..I'm SUPER so glad you are here!  :)  Love you guys!!!  Today I have a fun ornament tutorial for you using some fabulous ribbons!

Ribbon Ornaments

Aren't they fun!  And they aren't too tricky, either.  I love these because they make GREAT gift toppers along with a pretty ribbon or twine bow!  I began with some Layered Chipboard Ornaments from Coffee Break Designs.  I also used several of my favorite May Arts ribbons including the 1/8" Velvet in teal, yellow, and purple, the blue stripe twill, pink diagonal stripe, red metallic velvet, and silver metallic string.  I also used Lawn Fawn's Let it Snow set and Fa-La-La 6x6 paper pack.

Begin by adhering the ribbon to the ornament base with Scor-Tape sheets.

Cover the front portion of the ornament with patterned paper and adhere over the ribbon covered background. Trim the ribbon after adhering the top.

DSCN9926

Stamp and emboss one tree per ornament. Cut out the trees and adhere to the front of the ornaments.

DSCN9927

Finish off your ornaments with a bit of the silver string and attach to gifts or hang from your own tree!

The hop lasts all week! To see the others posting today, check them out below! Don't forget to check out the May Arts blog each day this week for more inspiration and prizes, too! (The Ribbon Lady is ALL about prizes! ;))
